My Experience

RMIT’s Visible Ink Magazine

Visible Ink is a student-lead publication that helps send emerging writers out into the world. And I was given the opportunity to be a part of their second digital issue set to be published late 2025. I work with a strong team of emerging editors to discuss style guide and timelines. And we support each other in the creation of style guides, and the copyediting and proofreading stages. Once assigned to our pieces, we work directly with the author’s to check consistency, make sure it’s following the style guide and bring out it’s full potential.

Photobook Collaboration

In early 2025, I collaborated with a photographer to create a photobook ready for publication. We worked through their photos and I helped find, create and refine the narrative. We used InDesign to develop a layout and perfect the spread. I suggested significant changes to both the introduction and final pages that helped to strengthen the overall message. I also copyedited the project for grammar, consistency and readability. And helped improve the relationship between the images and the text to enhance the reading experience.
